FIFA 2010 – Looking Back

July 15, 2010 — 2 Comments

As some of you know I am a futball fan (since most of you are from the USA translate that to soccer). Before I go on any further congrats to Spain for their 2010 world cup win, the final match was a brutish one with too many yellows to count, setting a new FIFA record, but in the end the best team won.

Although my home team, USA, did not fare well, loosing to Ghana, we sure played some nail bitters. Here is the goal to put USA to the second round by Donovan: (it is in a different language but the announcer yells goal for like a min so it is worth it)

It sure was a fun world cup and I look forward to 2014 in Brazil, and the wonder that futball is.

Boston.com (the big picture) is one of my favorite blogs I read. Here are a couple post on the FIFA world cup – Opening Week; Half Way and World Cup Comes to a Close

And it would not be a good World Cup 2010 post without a little of this, enjoy:

  1. I'm going to have to call you out on that one. Soccer is actually a Brittish term used many moons ago. So, a purist could still say soccer and be fine.

    • Well we are really just brits very far removed. I guess I would have more latin roots, so futbal will stick in my mind. Maybe I will have to have you be my proof reader!
