Moments with Love

My wife, Anna, is a blog reader. She reads a bunch of different blogs about adoption, orphan care, social justice etc… These blogs are great ways for us to connect with other people who share the same heart for the little fatherless ones around the world and also they have proven to be great support for my wife and her heart. A couple weeks ago Anna, unbeknownst to me, left a comment on a blog about our adoption story over at Moments with Love blog.

Moment with Love blog

Love’s (who runs the blog and yes that is her name) two little girls wanted to help a family who is in the process of adopting, here is the post:

these 2 sweethearts have come to me with a request to help a family that wants to adopt.
they have a plan and i’m looking forward to them seeing the fruits of their labor
and feeling the blessing that it is to be a blessing.

are you in the process of fundraising for an adoption?
will you please just leave a comment with a little bit about your family that i can
read to chloe and anika?
they want to pray about it and find a family to bless. (read the whole thing HERE)

That was a couple weeks ago. Yesterday I received a phone call from my wife letting me in on her little secret, that she had commented (I guess you could say entered us) on their blog, and that little Chloe & Anika had chosen our family.

(here is a photo of the girls raising money for our family!)

Chloe & Anika raised over $300 to go towards our families adoption (read post here). This just goes to further help me see that it is not about how much you make, or how good your job is. No, it is all about what your heart is and where God is leading you. If God can call Chloe and Anika to do this at such a young age, what about you? The fully developed ”Christian”. May their lives, heart, and hope in Jesus be motivation and encouragement that God works in big ways!

I would personally like to thank Love and her husband for raising their daughters to treasure Jesus and those that He loves! I would also like to thank little Chloe & Anika for blessing our family in this way. You don’t know how much it means to us that you have been praying for us and our girls, and also for all the hard work you put into blessing our family with this great gift to go towards our adoption!
