Pornography Addiction in America

Here is an interesting infograph about pornography addiction in America. It was created by non-christians and sheds light on the major problem we have here in America and how this problem is effecting us in so many ways!

I would love some help building a list of resources (podcast, sermons, articles, books etc…) that would help counsel and equip students to fight pornography. Leave some stuff in the comments!

Thanks in advance, for the help.

I’m sure you already know these, but “Porn Again Christian” Driscoll, Sexual Detox Challis, A Conversation – Keller, Piper and Carson (video), “Not Even a Hint” Harris. I’m trying to think of good sermons for it. It comes up in a lot of sermons, but I’m having a hard time thinking of whole sermons dedicated to it. Perhaps Driscoll’s sexual sin sermon from Religion Saves (there’s also his book on that series).

Interesting to see that women are included in this, I wouldn’t have thought that they got any thing from it?

I have never actually encountered it, but every stat seems to say the same thing.
      Thanks for reading.

The best way to not have a problem is to only use public computers. Then any temptation won’t be fed.

William, even though I can see the benefits in simply using a public computer, there is still the lust of the heart that remains. That is really the real issue. The person who no longer looks at images on a computer will simply find another way to fulfill their sinful desire. Maybe a smart phone, girls at a store, whatever else they may think up. So we need to make sure we don’t simply put a band-aid on a broken bone.
      Thanks for reading.

[...] Those are just a few things I though of, many which are overlooked when talking about the effects of pornography in our Church culture. Here are some of the recent stats on pornography. [...]
